Designer Spotlight: Future Classics

It's almost September and school's already in session for a lot of us. That means one thing: goodbye summer, hello autumn! As much as I love the sun, I have to admit that I love my fall wardrobe more. Vests, cashmere, leggings, tights - Future Classic's A/W 2010 collection has it all! Future Classic's designer Julie Wilkins proved that monochromatics don't always have to be boring or 'safe'. On the contrary, her neutral-colored hooded sweaters command attention.

What are some of your fall wardrobe staples?

Street Style: Little Black (& White) Dress

I personally love the simplicity of this black and white dress with an elegant ponytail. She looks poised and confident, young yet sophisticated. This is one of the looks I'll miss seeing come fall! (Yikes, it's almost September).

Street Style: Classy Casual

We like a good blazer as much as the next fashion bloggers but when we saw this slouchy, oversized summer blazer mixed with casual acid wash jeans and moccasins we simply had to stop. We love how she somehow captures a feeling of Native American chic with her leather bag, but keeps it classy and casual with the outerwear and denim. Some people just know how to steal the show.

Runway Spotlight: Anti Avanti by StarStyling

Starstyling's Anti Avanti was by far our favorite collection at Berlin Fashion Week S/S 2011.

The heart of the collection are handpainted designs and graphic prints inspired by the bandings found in agate stones, with unisex tops and leggings getting extra layers through additional transfer prints.

The big-shirt variations are combined with male and female washed-out frayed indigo denim styles and pieces in skin-colored net or linen with set-on bags and seams covered with holografic foil.

The line is ridiculously affordable - prices start at 40 euro!! We'll be hitting the stores come March 2011.

Street Style: Summer Swing

Someone once said that elegance is when you can take a picture of someone at any given moment and find them in a beautiful position. This couple is elegant down to their fingertips.

Designer Spotlight: Christopher Kane and Christopher Bailey

Christopher Kane is definitely making a name for himself in the fashion world. With focuses like nuclear bombs and nebular explosions for his vivid textiles, his clothes are colorful, beautiful and somehow still simple. On the other hand, everyone and their mother knows about Burberry Prorsum and the little genius behind it all known as Christopher Bailey. Season after season he stuns us with his classic London looks and his ever refreshing take on the trench. After reviewing the the pre-collection from these tippity top English designers we couldn't help but comment on the biggest contrast in London fashion week. The contrast between the two Christopers can be seen in everything from color and cut to fabric and styling. So, now that you've heard the low down think you can guess whose collection is whose?

Street Style: Vancouver

There's really no sight more beautiful than a boy in a fedora, is there? Well, actually, maybe a boy in cuffed pants, a denim button down and a fedora could win that race. Wait a mintue, we think that maybe a boy in cuffed pants, a denim button down, a fedora, a cool expression and an adorable girlfriend who wears cardigans and has a tattoo could be the top prize winner. Hmm, well now that we think about it maybe a boy in a fedora...

well you get the idea.
